Braided Side Bun... First Attempt!!

So I like to dabble in hair at little bit... I'm not amazing by any means! A simple braid can change a day from being drab to fab... If only everything in life could be solved with this (and a hot cup of tea obviously!!). Anyway, moving on... My lovely friend Helen needed her hair doing for her Christmas Party and asked if I would help...! Now a little bit of background, I enjoy doing my hair and sometimes mess with my sisters but I've never "done" someone's hair for an event! Arghhhhhh! So I thought, I'd just step up to the plate and give it a go...

I started by back combing her hair and setting it a bit with hairspray, then using a wide side parting I French plaited her hair from the lefthand side to the right, encorporating increasingly bigger sections of hair (gripping as I went to keep it secure). I finished by securing it with a few grips and bobby pins into a low side pony... Then curled using a curling iron and secured into a messy bun. Voila! Not so bad for a first attempt :) More to follow! What do you guys think?

And so it begins...

It's fair to say I'm obsessed. Makeup to me is like water... I cannot survive without it. If its new - I want it, if I haven't tried it then you can be sure that I'm waiting to get hold of it. For the past few years I have rambled to friends about new products, product raves and equally rants. Then one day my hairdresser said "You should write a blog!". Having followed a few of the most inspirational beauty bloggers for some time, I'd thought I'd take the plunge and do it... So here goes. I have a few ideas up my sleeve, as to how I can bore you lovely people senseless about beauty. So watch this space...
